2023 Annual Meeting on November 12

 

Our annual meeting this year will be on Novemeber 12 - details will be provides as we work them out.  This year we will be having elections for Chair, Vice Chair, Membership Coordinator (Registrar) and one at large position on the board. We are seeking nominations for the open positions.  Please use this form to nominate yourself or another person for any or all of the positions.  The core responsibilities for each role are described in our bylaws.

 

We need to make several minor adjustments to our bylaws to be consistent with the titles of our officers as recommended by USMS.  The changes in the bylaws will be voted on at the annual meeting on November 12.  The proposed changes are (text to be removed in blue strikeout, text substituted in red italics)...

Change Section 1.3: "The official address of MN LMSC is that of the Registrar Membership Coordinator"

Change Section 4.5: "The Officers of MN LMSC shall be the Chairperson (Chair); Vice Chairperson (Vice Chair); Secretary; Treasurer; Registrar Membership Coordinator, and two At-Large members (differentiated herein as At-Large “A” and At-Large “B”) . These seven officers shall comprise the Executive Committee. Any person other than the Chair may hold more than one office at a time but such person must be nominated and elected or appointed to each position, with the exception that the Treasurer and Registrar Membership Coordinator may not be the same person and no person may hold more than two offices. All Officers shall be members in good standing with MN LMSC and USMS." 

Change the last sentence of Section 4.6: "Elections shall take place in odd years for the Chair, Vice Chair, Registrar Membership Coordinator, and At-Large “A”." 

Change section 4.10c, fourth bullet: "Responsible to report any changes of treasurer or registrar membership coordinator to the National Office Administrator, Registration Committee Chair, and Controller as soon as known. Information is to include: name, address, phone, and email." 

Change the title of section 4.10e from "Registrar" to "Membership Coordinator"

Change the last sentence of section 5.1, Annual Meetings from "Meeting notice may be provided by any reasonable means (e.g., email, postal mail, etc.) to the location (physical or virtual) provided by the INDIVIDUAL members in the list maintained by the Registrar Membership Coordinator."
