Registration open for Fall Fling meet on October 9

Our first short course yards meet of the fall will be the Riptide Fall Fling.  It offers all individual events and all relays except for the 800 free relay.  Registration is now open with reduced fees through Tuesday September 13.  You can find more information about the meet here.

Break the Clock Swim Challenge 2022

Grab your cap and goggles and join us again for the Break the Clock Swim Challenge! Log your minutes weekly and see who spends the most time in the pool in our LMSC. Swims start Sept 12th running through October 9th! A great way to jump start your training for the Riptide meet! All participants will get a cap and sticker for their water bottle. This fitness event is open to only registered USMS participants and is FREE! as a perk of being in our LMSC. Sign up here and we will send you more information.

JJ Hill 1 & 2 Mile Swims on September 10

Registration is now open for the Twin Cities Open Water Half Marathon series including swims on July 16 (5K at Square Lake), August 13 (5 miles at Lake Minnetonka, and September 10 (JJ Hill 1 & 2 miles).

2022 USMS 5K/10K Virtual Championships

Go looong this summer with the 2022 USMS 5K/10K Virtual Championships. Entries are open now, and swims are to be completed between May 15–Sept. 15. All participants receive an event cap. Clubs with the most swimmers can win up to $300 and prizes from our partners. Get more information here.

Carol Smollen and Carrie Stolar Elected to Hall of Fame

The Minnesota Masters Board and the Hall of Fame Committee are pleased to announce the selection of two honorees into the Hall of Fame Class of 2022, Carrie Stolar and Carol Smollen. These two outstanding women have competed for nearly 20 years achieving numerous individual national Top Ten times. Each has also broken and currently holds multiple MN State swimming records.

About Minnesota Masters Swimming

Minnesota Masters Swimming LMSC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to a healthy swimming lifestyle for adult swimmers within 87 counties in Minnesota and 3 in Western Wisconsin. It is the local governing body for United States Masters Swimming (USMS).

There are 1,172 registered swimmers in the Minnesota LMSC and over 60,000 nationwide. Anyone 18 years of age or older is eligible to join. No prior competitive swimming experience is necessary.
