Minnesota USMS registration list included 658 swimmers through January 17th, with major participation once the pool lockdown ended on January 4th.  Last year there were 896 registrants by this date which means that our current rate is 73.4% of that. 

USMS had been projecting 80% of 2020's pace as the nationwide trend.  The closing of Minnesota pools from November 21st through January 3rd was clearly a factor in reducing the Minnesota LMSC pace that had been at 80% prior to the closure mandate.  The reopening, and the beginning of a new year, has resulted in significant catching up.
