U.S. Masters Swimming (USMS) is a national membership-operated nonprofit organization, founded in 1970, that provides membership benefits to nearly 60,000 Masters swimmers across the country. USMS exists to promote health & fitness in adults through its 52 Local Masters Swimming Committees (LMSCs) provide direct support to more than 1,500 Masters Swimming clubs and workout groups. Structure and organization of USMS programs vary and are driven by factors such as pool availability, instructor or coach availability, community support, and finances. The majority of locations offering Masters Swimming programs have coaches on deck. Coaches write workouts and provide feedback and instruction. Prospective members and clubs join the USMS organization through their Local Masters Swim Committee (LMSC).
Minnesota Masters(LMSC) Local Masters Swimming Committee promotes swimming throughout our region as part of a healthy lifestyle for adults of all swimming experience levels, from novice to expert. We have a wide range of programs for all adult swimmers (fitness, triathlete, competitive) that provide organized workouts, technique instruction and skills development, opportunities for pool or open water competition, as well as opportunities for community involvement.Our region consists of Minnesota & the western Wisconsin counties of St. Croix, Dunn & Pierce. We relish the camaraderie of fellow swimmers as we support each other in striving to reach our personal goals.

Minnesota Masters Swimming LMSC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to a healthy swimming lifestyle for adult swimmers within 87 counties in Minnesota and 3 in Western Wisconsin. It is the local governing body for United States Masters Swimming (USMS).

There are 1,172 registered swimmers in the Minnesota LMSC and over 60,000 nationwide. Anyone 18 years of age or older is eligible to join. No prior competitive swimming experience is necessary.
