We promote swimming throughout our region as part of a healthy lifestyle for adults of all swimming experience levels.



Highlights from events and member achievements


Swimming is a great form of exercise! A USMS membership includes daily written workouts of all types: basic, triathlon, expectant/new mothers, stroke/IM, high intensity, high volume, and open water.


Build friendships and network with adult swimmers from all walks of life. We have active members from 18 to over 90 years of age!


There are over 60,000 members of USMS and 1,172 in Minnesota and our three counties of Western Wisconsin. Compete with fellow swimmers in your age group and set your goals! Aim for personal best times in your age group, records, or USMS Top Ten rankings.


Want to get away? There will again be masters meets all over the globe.  Less formally, If you are traveling on business or for pleasure, you can often "drop in" on a local Masters practice. Use the Club Finder to locate one.

About Minnesota Masters Swimming

Minnesota Masters Swimming LMSC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to a healthy swimming lifestyle for adult swimmers within 87 counties in Minnesota and 3 in Western Wisconsin. It is the local governing body for United States Masters Swimming (USMS).

There are 1,172 registered swimmers in the Minnesota LMSC and over 60,000 nationwide. Anyone 18 years of age or older is eligible to join. No prior competitive swimming experience is necessary.
